George Henry Addison was born January 22, 1948, in Omaha. He died December 1, 2024.
The beloved Grandfather, Father, Husband, and Son grew up in South Omaha. As an adult, he spent time in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Missouri, before moving back to Omaha in the mid 1990’s. George gave 42 years of faithful service to Western Electric and AT &T before retiring. He loved the game of baseball and the New York Yankees; devoting almost 50 years to the game as a player and coach. Never one to shy away from an opportunity to tell a good joke, George always put a smile on the faces of those he was with.
George is survived by his wife, Vickie Addison; sons, James (Missy) Addison and Roger (Cali) Addison; his grandchildren: Sophia, Lily, Mitchell, Liam, Rory, Chloe and Zoey; and his siblings: Chester (Faye) Addison, Rose (Robert) Shoemaker and Jim (late Gloria) Addison.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Bob, Virgina, Peggy, Shirley, Patty and Dorothy.
